FIRST AID

Whilst your child is in our care every effort is made to ensure a safe playing environment. However if an accident does occur, qualified first aiders are always available. If an incident occurs which requires us to complete an accident report form, the parent or guardian will be informed by telephone. At all times the wishes of the parent will be upheld if further medical assistance is required.

WHAT TO BRING

• A packed lunch MUST be brought everyday and plenty to drink. We do not have refrigerated storage facilities, however there are vending machines available for children to buy drinks and snacks.
•Children should wear trainers and appropriate sports clothing (i.e. short, t-shirts, tracksuits) and bring swimwear and a towel everyday.
• NO jewellery
• Sun cream and sun hat (dependant on weather)
• £1 for locker

ORGANISATION

Please register your child/children at reception each morning between 9.15am and 9.30am.

Each morning the children are split into similar age groups. However we are aware of the need to maintain friendship groups and so we will ensure your child is placed in the most appropriate group. At regular times during the day all the children will come back together.

At the end of the day, children will need to be signed out by the collecting adult, between 4.30pm and 4.45pm.
For older children, written authorisation is required if they are to leave the premises without an adult.

EQUIPMENT

The sports centre will provide all equipment.

If children wish to bring their own equipment, sports centre staff will endeavour to ensure its safe keeping, however responsibility for all personal belongings rests with the child/children. We strongly advise that children do not bring any electrical equipment with them such as iPods, MP3 players, mobile phones etc.

Any items brought are the sole responsibility of the child.
